Before and after

The same grid, eight months apart

BeforeIDENTICO geo-grid before local SEO: average rank 12.37 with 67 percent low rankings across the map
AfterIDENTICO geo-grid after local SEO: average rank 1.16 with 100 percent high positions for 19 keywords across the Miami metro

Each dot is a real Google Maps search from that point on the map. Red means the business is not found; green means it sits in the top results.

The starting point

IDENTICO Fingerprinting serves West Park, Florida, and the wider Miami area with fingerprinting, background checks, drug testing and DNA testing. People look for these services with urgent, local searches: they need a Live Scan or an AHCA background check this week, and they pick from whoever Google Maps shows first.

At the start of the campaign, IDENTICO was not one of those businesses. A geo-grid scan across the metro gave an average rank position of 12.37. Sixty-seven percent of the map showed low rankings and none of it showed a high one. In practical terms, a person searching a few miles from the office did not see IDENTICO at all.

What we changed

The work ran on our local SEO service, paired with a new website. The site was structured around the services themselves, with separate pages for fingerprinting, drug testing and DNA testing, so that each high-intent search had a page built to answer it. Reviews and video went on the homepage, where a first-time visitor decides whether to trust a provider with sensitive paperwork.

The Google Business Profile was then managed as the main sales surface rather than a listing to set and forget, and the business details were made consistent everywhere the profile is cross-checked.

What happened

Eight months later the same grid, scanned for the same 19 keywords, returned an average rank of 1.16, with every scan point in a high position. The keywords run from “AHCA background checking” to “fingerprinting near me”, so the result covers both the regulated, specific searches and the broad local ones.

The organic side moved with it. Semrush, which we have no control over, shows the domain at 9,397 organic keywords and around 4.1K monthly visits, with keyword count and traffic rising together.

Why it matters for a business like yours

An average rank is only useful if it holds across the whole service area, and that is what a geo-grid tests. A single screenshot of position one, taken from the office, would have looked the same at the start and the end. The distance between the two grids on this page is the actual change in how many people could find the business.

How the campaign ran

  1. Keyword research and competitor analysis

The searches people make for fingerprinting, background checks and drug testing were mapped and sized, and the 19 that matter most became the tracked set.

  2. A website structured around services

We built the site with a dedicated page for fingerprinting, drug testing and DNA testing, with reviews and video on the homepage.

  3. Google Business Profile optimization and management

Categories, services, photos and review replies managed continuously, because in this vertical the map pack is where the booking happens.

  4. Listings, citations and white-hat links

Consistent business details across the directories the market checks, then authority earned through links Google allows.
